A new KICK BUTT program!
I have really come a very long way in the last two years. I have exceeded my goals. I am two pant sizes below my goal and at my dream goal weight! There is still to be desired though. Being overweight and losing weight means lots of toning and tightening. I think this will do the trick!
I am so ready to fight for these results. I'll be doing kick boxing, boxing, and Mauy Thai for the next 30 or more days to whip my butt into shape! I did day one today and absolutely loved it. What is even better is I did it on Beachbody on Demand! I ordered the program two days ago, and I just couldn't wait for it to ship to me. I didn't have to though! On the go?
How often do our lives keep us on the go and away from the kitchen? Sometimes it's just not possible to pack a meal before we hit the road, or something comes up and we didn't have time to plan ahead.
So the option is eat greasy foods or go hungry right? Wrong.
There are so many places that have adopted the new trend of eating healthy. You just gotta know what to look for. I found this site that could prove to be useful in the future. Especially with all the holiday traveling we have in store for us in the next months.

I know from experience that there are lots of options out there. Subway has those salads, just choose a sandwich and they can make it into a salad! How awesome! All the restaurants out there can make your sandwich without a bun. All you need to do is ask (they're used to it). Wendy's has great salads and you can also substitute your fries with a side salad.
Don't settle for something just because you think you have to. There are options out there. Your body will thank you for it :)

1200 calories
Before I started with beachbody, I didn't realize how important eating properly would affect my results. I figured if I ate less than 1000 calories I should lose weight in no time!
I was wrong. Sure I lost a few pounds at the beginning, but then I hit a plateau. It was so frustrating. Here I was starving to death and not dropping a pound. Here is a great article on why:

With team beachbody I learned the proper and healthy way to eat by following the meal plan that came with my program and with the help of my coach, support groups, and shakeology. I was and am never hungry. And am now 90 pounds lighter than my heaviest weight!

Holiday Slim Down

Too Skinny... Or Healthy?
I was considered obese before I started my fitness journey. It has taken me nearly 2 years, but I have finally hit my goal weight and size and I am PROUD of that!!!
People never told me that I was too fat, but they feel that it is okay to say that I am too thin. How does that make sense? I definitely didn't work hard to become fat, but I have worked hard to become thin and fit. You know what else? I am still not where I want to be. I still have places that jiggle and I am going to tone those up. This is what HEALTHY looks like! I did not starve myself. I ate healthy and exercised to get the my body to what God meant it to look like.
If you know someone that is thin and healthy, please don't tell them that they are too skinny. It is not a compliment and it may hurt someone's feelings.

Vacation day 3
Waking up in a new town is exciting! I woke up before my alarm ready to go out and walk around :) My husband's Aunt went with me to exercise in San Marcos, Texas! We walked 3 miles and it was awesome. There is a university there that is gorgeous. We saw one of the original buildings from the university and just had to walk to it. The view from there was beautiful too!
After a yummy breakfast at the bed and breakfast we stayed at, we headed to visit the town of Gruene (pronounced Green). A little walking and shopping were on the list of things to do before we met up for lunch :)
The shopping led to me finding the perfect cowboy boots! Yay!
After lunch and a couple hours in the car, we finally made it to the Ranch! Yay! The place is so pretty. We walked a little more here too! Lots of exercise, but no Country Heat workouts yet.

Vacation day 2
Welp, exercise is going to be scratched off the list till I am no longer on the train. I was really going to try, but it just isn't possible to do it in a little sleepette. Not only is the room comfy cozy, but I have my carry-on in there too. I have to admit, this has been so relaxing :)
The food on the dining car is amazing! I really, really love to eat! Being on vacation makes it even more enjoyable! I had a Greek yogurt cheesecake for dessert yesterday and I loved every bite of it, hehe!

On Vacation
I am incredibly excited to say that I am officially on vacation! I have the privilege to be a part of a woman's trip to Texas. Waking up at 3:30 am to get ready to be at the train station was actually pretty easy. The excitement of new experiences has got me in hyper-drive or something. This trip has a lot of firsts for me. Riding on a train for longer than a 20 minute tourist scheme, being in Chicago and Texas, staying in a bed and breakfast, being away from my husband and kids for an extended amount of time, and these are just the ones that I know of.
I have already had the experience of eating in the dining cart on the train and that was a fun experience. The "waiter" was not as pleasant as I had hoped. He was short with us all and brought me coffee and charged me for it even though I didn't ask for it. It didn't go to waste though, I gave it to my mother-in-law :) My meal wasn't the healthiest, but it wasn't too bad. I had a chicken and biscuit sandwich with a fruit cup. I do intend on sticking to my regular diet and exercise routine while I am on this vacation! I hope circumstances allow me to stick to it :)

What is a Team Beachbody Coach?
I started off my weight loss journey on my own. I bought the program and ate as healthy as I could. One day I had my cousin tell me she has become an independent beachbody coach. I thought that was awesome! She then started to help me by including me in these amazing groups that provided amazing information and support. I really started to see results! After a year I started thinking that I would love to share my experiences and knowledge with other people like me.
Beachbody nutrition and fitness programs work and I just wanted to shout it from the rooftops! My cousin became my coach in that year of exercise and she asked me to join her team. After some research, I decided to give it a try!
I've been a coach for about 6 months now and I am so glad that I am! Meeting new people and sharing the experience of living in a healthy way is a great feeling.

Just have fun
I love eating healthy. I also love having fun.
Sometimes it is great to just let loose and live your life. That is what I did this weekend and I loved every minute of it! What is the point in being in the best shape of my life if I can't enjoy it? That's just it, I can and I do! I did that this weekend at Gnawbrew! What an amazing time it was too!

Lifestyle Change
Eating clean is hard at first, but is so good for you and totally do-able! I actually lost 20 pounds with just changing my diet!
Diet wasn't enough though. I stopped losing weight and I was so worried that I would gain that weight back. That is a valid fear right? I had not been introduced to the phrase "lifestyle change" . I only thought it was a diet. You know, you lose the weight then go back to eating the things you like, right? WRONG. Well, for the most part.
Anyway, diet wasn't enough. This is when I found a workout program that didn't totally make me want to die while I was exercising. I mean the trainer was a 57 year old man, it couldn't be too hard right? Sorry Tony Horton! In reality it was hard, but with the dedication to 30 minutes a day and a walk to my basement, I was able to lose a lot more weight with P90x3! Not only was I losing weight, but finding a new way of life. My body was getting stronger and I was getting more confident and with that I was a happier person!
As the months moved on and the pounds fell off, I was able to try out more programs with Beachbody. I got a coach and she introduced me to these amazing groups that give awesome tips and motivation called challenge groups! In these challenge groups I started losing the fear of gaining my weight back because I was introduced to a lifestyle change. Because of these groups, I was able to get the confidence to become a coach myself and to share this all with you! This is not some temporary fix, it is a lifestyle change, and I am better for it!
Did you know that I can still have those foods that I "gave up"? Yep, I have them all the time. Just in moderation! Moderation is key to pretty much everything in life. If you overdo anything, I am pretty sure you would regret it. That is the same thing with food. I love my lifestyle and definitely enjoy the little things, including pizza and the occasional adult beverage :)

21 Day Fix
I have a confession! I bought this program 6 months ago and am just now starting it! Well, a week ago that is! I really was dreading the containers. I lost so much weight doing my own thing that I felt that it would be silly to change what I was doing. Well, I hit a plateau. I hit it for nearly 6 months too! I finally got to where I was ready to try anything to hit my goal weight, so I cleaned the containers and unwrapped the dvd's and got started!
I started a week ago and am happy to report that I feel sore and have lost 2 pounds already!!! I absolutely love Autumn Calabrese! She has a great way of making you feel like you are right in the room with her. My muscles may be cussing her, but I am so happy to see what the next two weeks of the program are going to bring. Not only do I love drinking the Shakeology and using the meal plan, the workouts are fun to get in at the beginning of my day!
